Like many women these days, the three of us were living full lives balancing family,
service, and work. Our work just happened to be owning real estate businesses, and we
were each doing it alone. What were our options–join a large team? Create a
partnership? Or stay solo and just try to keep our heads above water? We were work
acquaintances but realized we shared the same questions. We also realized we shared
the same values, work ethic, and many of the same goals. The trend of teams and the
strength that they brought became apparent. It wasn’t just strength in numbers, but the
support and camaraderie they offered. Creating a team gave us an option to overcome
the difficulties of owning our own small, separate businesses while living a more
balanced life.

After much discussion among the three of us, we decided to explore our idea of “triple
leadership” a little further. It was unique–instead of just one lead agent, our clients
would get three, ensuring full service at all times. We consulted with our families, our
broker, and met with the Small Business Administration at UGA to create the foundation
for a strong business, which, in turn, will serve our clients well.
Finally, we pondered a name that would best represent who we are. It made sense for
us to go with something that symbolized the word “three” and compliments a favorite
verse, Ecclesiastes 4:12, “…though one may be overpowered, two can defend
themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Triad, by definition, means
“a group or set of three connected people or things.” There are three of us, hoping to
incorporate three aspects of real estate–buying, selling, and investing–into our
business. We hope to maintain integrity, sincerity, and candor in every transaction.
